Tender 'Hotel am Theater' in Gütersloh (DE) won

In the German city of Gütersloh, IAA Architecten, together with project developer Aqui-Visions, has won the tender for an ecological, sustainable and healthy 3-star+ hotel with 128 rooms and accompanying car park. The design is inspired by the Cradle to Cradle® philosophy and forms an urban ensemble with the theatre and the cultural and conference centre 'Stadthalle'. The new construction creates a new small theatre square as a public space.

START OF CONSTRUCTION IN AUTUMN 2021

The hotel has been designed as a flexible layout and energy-neutral building and will be sold to an investor after leasing and realisation. The car park will remain the property of the city of Gütersloh after realisation. Planning permission is expected to be granted in spring 2021 and construction work can start in autumn 2021.
