ROC van Twente celebrates 'Purple Friday'

  3. urban planning and landscape

'Purple Friday', every second Friday in December, is a day when students, teachers and other staff wear the colour purple to show their solidarity with gay, bisexual, lesbian, transgender and intersex people. Like previous years, the ROC van Twente, as an educational organisation, showed that everyone is welcome by having the De Maere building in Enschede lit up in the LGBTI colours again this year on Friday 10 December. Usually, the facade is lit with white light at night, but in special cases or during ROC van Twente events, the LED lights can be programmed in any colour. Like it was on 'Purple Friday'.
