Elver starts construction Holterweg Doetinchem
On Thursday 25 June 2020, the official starting signal was given for the new Elver care organisation construction at the Holterweg in Doetinchem. Although the contractor had already started the preparatory work, director Irma Harmelink together with future residents Dennis and Ton symbolically set the shovel into the ground. The new construction will be located right next to the Anna Hoeve, B&B and one of the Elver day care centres. The expectation is that the construction at the Holterweg will be completed by mid 2021. Construction company KlaassenGroep will realise the new home for the forty-eight residents in cooperation with Wassink Installatie and under the supervision of IAA Architecten.
HOUSING CONCEPT AND SURROUNDINGS
The construction of the three residential units comprises a maximum of two floors on the basis of the existing housing concept and fits in with the surroundings and the existing buildings. The new construction is partly intended for residents who currently live elsewhere. The remaining studios are for new residents who have indicated that they would like to live with Elver at this location.
With this new construction, Elver is responding to the increasing demand for this type of accommodation. In addition to its spacious individual studios and pleasant central living room, it is located close to the city centre of Doetinchem. It therefore offers residents the opportunity to make use of the facilities Doetinchem has to offer from a comfortable and safe living place.
Elver has been focussed on the planning of new and re-construction for some time now. In addition to the plans for the new construction at the Holterweg, the construction of three residential units in Nieuw-Wehl was completed last month. Plans for Arnhem-North are at an advanced stage and the Master Plan for Nieuw-Wehl is also beginning to take shape.
